Privacy Policy
Dirt Simple Solutions LLC ("we", "us") is a Utah limited liability company operating from Minnesota, USA. This policy explains what information dirtsimplesolutions.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past. What we collect
- Contact form. When you submit the form on the home page we receive your name, email address, your company if you enter one, and your message. Nothing is collected from the form until you press Send.
- Analytics. We run a self-hosted instance of Umami to see which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. It records page views and aggregate information such as the referring site, browser type, and country. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not follow you to other sites.
- Technical logs. Like most websites, our hosting platform records standard request information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We use these logs to keep the site secure, to limit abusive or automated submissions, and to troubleshoot problems. They are kept for a limited period.
How we use it
- To reply to your message and, if we end up working together, to do business with you.
- To understand which parts of the site are useful.
- To protect the site and the contact form from abuse.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
The site runs on Microsoft Azure in the United States. Contact form submissions are delivered by Azure Communication Services as an email to our business mailbox, where they are stored by our email provider like any other message. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages for as long as needed to respond to you and for reasonable business records, and we delete them on request. Analytics data is aggregate and contains no personal information. Technical logs are retained only briefly.
Your choices
- You do not have to use the contact form. You can reach us on LinkedIn instead.
- You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing contact@dirtsimplesolutions.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to submitted messages is limited to the people who need to answer them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
